Nothing is given, everything is earned. This saying that I learned early in life has stuck with me throughout my football career. At first, I felt that nobody wanted me. I wasn’t good enough to play college football at the highest level, I thought.
I’m glad I was wrong.
Seven offers later, here we are. It is time for me to announce my final decision as to where I will be playing Division-I college football for the next three to five years.
I’d like to thank my family, for starters. My dad and my brother pushed me to get better when I thought nobody wanted me. I would not be here today in this situation without their love and support. I also want to thank my mom for watching and praying over me. Knowing I’ll always have you on my side is something that I will never forget. I love you all.
I also want to thank my coaches and teammates at Saraland. I hope I will make you proud and continue to put Saraland on the map! I only ask that you follow me as I continue to grind and become the best college football player I can possibly be.
With that said, I have decided that I will be attending Southern Miss!
I felt like Southern Miss was a better school for me. It was a place where I could get away from home and truly grow as a man on my own. I am so excited to get in and make the team better! I want Southern Miss to be successful when I am on the field and I will do everything in my power to ensure that we have success.
